The Lake House Inn Wedding // Jessie + Jason

Jessie and Jason had the perfect day for their March wedding at The Lake House Inn in Perkasie, Pennsylvania! They are so much fun to be around — they both have a great sense of humor, the biggest hearts, and we absolutely loved being surrounded by all of their friends and family for their special day!

The sun was shining and the warm weather was beautiful for their outdoor ceremony in front of the lake. And just before their ceremony, we captured their first look, where Jason’s reaction to seeing his bride was so sweet!

Their gorgeous ceremony included family heirlooms, such as the kiddush cups, and their grandfather’s tallit that was part of the canopy of the chupah. We loved their personal vows that made everyone laugh, cry, and bring tears of joy! Jessie included in her vows to Jason, “…you are my person, my best friend, my fur baby daddy, the dance partner and the balance I’ve always needed.” They really are the definition of a true team!

When talking to Jessie and Jason about what they were most excited for on their wedding day, they always told us about how excited they were for the reception, to dance the night away with all of the people they loved. Well, we now know why…not only do these two have some amazing dance moves, but so does the rest of their family! The band was awesome, the dancing was so fun, and the party didn’t skip a beat the entire night!

Jessie and Jason met when they were studying Broadcast Journalism at the University of Maryland. Despite being an incredibly small major on a rather large campus, they didn’t actually meet until the start of their senior year in college. They had a class together and ended up becoming really great friends in a larger group of friends also in the Journalism major. They realized there was more to their friendship, but didn’t act on it because Jason didn’t want to jeopardize their friendship. But after a year, they made their relationship official!

Jessie, being the planner in their relationship, was helping Jason to plan their annual tailgate with friends at Maryland, not knowing that she was also planning her engagement! Jason made sure that both of their parents could make it for the tailgate as well, and when their parents arrived, Jason suggested they take a walk since their dog was getting chilly.

They walked to the large “M” on campus, and Jessie mentioned that they should take a picture. They gave her phone to her dad, who unknowingly was taking a video, and Jason proceeded to get down on one knee and ask Jessie to marry him! She shouted “yes!” and they were able to also chat with their siblings before heading back to the tailgate to celebrate with their friends.

Wishing you both a lifetime full of love and happiness!! Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Murphy! #haveyoumetthemurphys

Park Chateau Wedding Highlight // Jessica + Mark

When asked what Jessica and Mark were most excited for on their wedding day, they replied, “We are excited to have the people who care most about us in one room. But honestly, we are just so excited to become husband and wife.” It’s evident that these two are perfect for one another just by listening to them read the love letters that they wrote to each other!

Opting for a more traditional ceremony at St. Michaels Church in Cranford, NJ, we love that the first moment where Mark sees Jessica walking toward him down the aisle that he starts to tear up — it just might be one of the sweetest moments we’ve seen! And when they were officially announced as husband and wife, after sharing their first kiss, you can tell how happy they are to be Mr. & Mrs. just by looking at the big smiles on their faces!

Their reception was held at the always gorgeous Park Chateau, and we loved walking around with the newlyweds, and our photographer bestie Jennifer Larsen, for portraits. Even in March, before the gardens started blooming, the landscape at Park Chateau was beautiful! The wind worked to our advantage that day, too, because we had the chance to capture the movement of Jessica’s breathtaking dress and veil! To see some of the images that Jennifer Larsen photographed of the couple, be sure to check out her blog here!

Knowing that their love will only continue to deepen and grow, Jessica’s sister said it best as she toasted to the newlyweds, saying “…years from now you’ll look back on this day, your wedding day, as the day you loved each other the least.”

Jessica works for the NJ FMBA (Firefighters Union) and Mark is a Firefighter, so naturally their paths would cross eventually! Mark’s Battalion Chief wanted to set them up for a while, but the timing wasn’t just right. One day, Mark came into the office where Jessica works to have lunch with his co-worked and Jessica’s boss. She asked her boss to bring her a salad, and when they returned from lunch, Mark gave it to her instead! They started talking, and he asked for her number. Two weeks later, he called Jessica to ask her out to lunch, and after that lunch they started dating exclusively!

For Jessica’s birthday, Mark took her on a vacation to Portland, Maine to celebrate. Before they reached Portland, they stopped at the Nubble Lighthouse in Kittery Maine, where he popped the question! He even had a a photographer waiting to capture the moment. The most amazing part was that Jessica was completely surprised — she knew they would end up together, but didn’t know that it would happen at that moment. And that surprise made it so special.

Wishing you both a lifetime full of love and happiness!!  Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Bagniewski! #MarkBagsaHarnden

The Reeds at Shelter Haven Wedding Teaser // Juliana + Kevin

Filled with love and joy, Juliana and Kevin were all smiles on their wedding day — we loved capturing their love for one another as they became husband and wife! The weather was just perfect for their dockside outdoor ceremony along the water at The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor, NJ. Some of our absolute favorite portraits were captured before the ceremony, when we traveled to the Wetlands Institute for pictures alongside our friend, and their photographer, Molly!

We had so much fun creating this wedding teaser with some of the best moments of their day; and now we can't wait to start editing their wedding highlight!! Congrats Newlyweds! #ChellewsIDos

Laurita Winery Wedding // Amy + Brandon

Amy and Brandon’s wedding day at Laurita Winery was a wonderful way for us to kick off the 2019 wedding season! These high school sweethearts have been talking about this day since they were 14 years old — and it was filled with so much love, happiness, and support from their friends and family that just made it perfect!

When opening the letter that Brandon wrote to her, Amy became emotional, showing us that the way he drew her name. She said that is the way they always draw their names when writing notes to each other since they started dating…it was so sweet! And when Brandon saw Amy for the very first time as she walked down the aisle with her parents, we love how he smiled to his bride…it’s just priceless!

When we talked to Amy before the big day, she said they were most excited “to hear our names called for the first time as ‘Mr. & Mrs. Kent’! That is something that we envisioned and hoped for, for years!” And we loved that the moment after they shared their first kiss and were introduced as husband and wife, Amy had a big smile on her face, which truly shows how excited they were to finally be married!

Amy and Brandon met freshman year of high school, and have been together ever since! The first night that Brandon & Amy talked, he jokingly asked Amy to marry him, because they had so much in common, and Amy of course said yes! After high school, they spent most of their relationship far apart, since Amy was in North Carolina for college and Brandon was in the Marine Corps, and now they are both back in New Jersey, together!

For their 8 year dating anniversary in December 2017, Amy and Brandon planned a weekend away in New York to celebrate. They always plan a visit to Central Park whenever they are in the city, to go and find the tree where they carved their initials back in their first year of dating. On that day, they went to the tree, and Brandon asked a couple walking by to take their picture. As the man started to hand back the phone to Brandon, he asked the man to take a few more, and it was in that moment that Brandon got down on one knee and asked Amy to be his wife!

Wishing you both a lifetime full of love and happiness!!  Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Kent! #MeantToBeKent

Park Chateau Wedding Teaser // Jessica + Mark

Jessica and Mark’s Park Chateau wedding was beautiful! They are such a fun couple who loved to have a good time, and their wedding day was no exception. The wedding was held over St. Patrick’s Day weekend, so they decided to have a “lucky in love” theme in the spirit of the holiday! They are also dog lovers, just like us, and they wanted to find a way to include their beloved dog Peter into the wedding—so they had poster cut outs made of their dog’s face, which were brought out during the reception to dance with! See, I told you they were fun!!

We had an amazing time documenting their love alongside our friend, and their photographer, Jennifer Larsen! Be sure to check out her blog post filled with images from Jessica & Mark’s wedding day here! We can't wait to start editing their wedding highlight!! Congrats Newlyweds! #MarkBagsaHarnden

Liberty House Wedding // Kimberly + Julian

Overlooking to New York City skyline, Kimberly and Julian’s Jersey City wedding was filled with love, laughter, and amazing food! Walking into the Liberty House Restaurant was like walking into a fairytale winter wonderland…the candles, the greenery, the flocked trees, and the lights all came together to create a warm and magical space to celebrate their union!

Their ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Anthony of Padua Church in Jersey City; and, at the reception, Kim’s father said about his walk down the aisle with his daughter that he’s “had many walks with Kim…this was the shortest but by far it was the best.” We also love when Julian’s cousin, and best man, toasted the newlyweds and said, “there is no stronger bond than the family you choose and you decide to be together with.” And on that December day, Kimberly and Julian decided to be together, forever!

Some of Kim and Julian’s favorites from Brooklyn, like Italian cookies from Court Street Bakery and Brooklyn and Ample Hills Ice Cream were brought over the river for their reception, giving guests a taste of the city they love. Kim and Julian are also lovers of live music, and have been to over 30 concerts together! So, it was natural that on their wedding day, they chose to have a live band — Mod Society was amazing and kept the dance floor packed all night long!

In March 2015, Kim was attending a friend’s Manhattan housewarming party, and was instantly drawn to Julian, who was sporting a New York Islanders jersey and sideburns. They talked for most of the party and learned that they both lived and worked in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and their jobs were right across the street from each other! Julian asked for Kim’s number, and left the party to go to the hockey game. A few weeks later, Kim received a text message from an unknown number saying, “I want Mohr!” She instantly knew it was Julian, and they set up their first date!

Two years later, Kim and Julian went to the Cherry Blossom Festival at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden (where they had their second date). It was the hottest day in April, and Kim was eager to find some shade. After taking some photos in front of the cherry blossoms, Kim walked ahead of Julian to get out of the sun, only to feel him grab her shirt. She turned and found him on one knee, holding an engagement ring! For the first time, Kim was speechless! And when they returned to their apartment, they found a spread of food and wine that had been arranged for them while they were at the festival. Julian had also made dinner reservations, which Kim thought was just for the two of them, but it turned out it was actually a celebration with both of their immediate families!

Wishing you both a lifetime full of love and happiness!!  Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Parham! #juleswantsmohr

Natirar Wedding // Sara + Nick

Decorated beautifully for the holidays with lights, wreathes, and Christmas decor, the Mansion at Natirar was a gorgeous location for Sara and Nick’s wedding day!

Since their first date, Nick had thought about what he was going to write and say to Sara on their wedding day. Over three years later, their wedding day had arrived. And, in the sweetest love letter to his bride, Nick said, "the last three and a half years have been so amazing and surreal that I can't imagine how it’s going to get better. But, it is when I see you walking down the aisle, looking absolutely gorgeous." And in the moment that Sara made her way down the aisle to Nick, we love the wave of emotions as Nick couldn’t hold back the tears!

At the reception, Sara’s dad talked about how Nick texted him one day asking to meet up for drinks in the city, which ultimately led to Nick asking for his permission to ask for Sara’s hand in marriage. Her dad’s emotional response, saying, “Yes! Welcome to the family!” brings tears to our eyes!

The evening was filled with celebration for the newlyweds, and at the end of the night, was capped off with a fun sparkler exit for the couple as they started the new chapter of their lives together as husband and wife!

Sara and Nick met through a college friend, and their first date took place at Three Monkey's in Hells Kitchen. Nick was about 15 mins late, which Sara admits almost made her write him off…but his amazing sense of humor quickly changed her mind!

Nick had texted Sara on the morning on November 9th asking if she would be interested in getting dinner with him and his boss. She had quickly stated "no!" as she was unprepared to go out to dinner (she had no makeup and her hair was in a wet bun). After much convincing, she decided she would run to CVS, grab some mascara and lip gloss and meet Nick at his office. Nick met her outside and began to nervously pace towards Central Park. Confused, she asked where they were going and why they we walking—as Nick knows Uber is Sara’s preferred form of transportation—and she began to wonder where Nick’s boss was. After they entered the park, Nick bent down on one knee and popped the question!

Sara and Nick, we wish you both a lifetime full of love and happiness!! Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Fischer! #SaraCaughtAFisch

Why Wedding Videos Matter

One of the most common things you will hear a bride and groom say is that their wedding "felt like blur!" or "it went by so fast!". Most couples would agree that it would not only be amazing to relive the entire day all over again, but also catch some of the moments that may have been missed or may have already been forgotten.

For any engaged couple who wants their wedding to be documented, photo is usually the first thing that comes to mind. After all, images from your wedding day are traditionally the only thing that remains after the wedding day is over. Wedding cinematography has been on the rise the past couple of years with more and more couples seeing the importance of capturing their special day with both photo and video. Still, some couples find themselves asking the question, "Why would I need or want a wedding video?"

Video, in general, is more accessible than ever. Through our smartphones, apps like Instagram and Facebook are allowing us to easily capture simple everyday moments on the go. Most of the time, you don't realize how meaningful those impromptu memories are until you look back at those video clips months, or even years later. Now think of all those feelings you get looking back at simple everyday home videos - the laughter, the joys, and the tears they bring. Wouldn't it be great if you could capture one of the most important moments of your life on video, too?

Both photo and video capture stories; they document moments and, in a sense, make time stand still. Wedding photography is essential, of course, but think about actually being able to hear the sounds, see the movement, and experience the priceless emotions of the day in an extra dimension. Video allows you to see and hear every moment in its entirety.

Moments that bring you back to the conversations you were having with your bridesmaids as you were getting ready. Relive the feeling of walking down the aisle and seeing your groom for the first time. The magical sounds of your vows or even how many times you stumbled as you spoke your vows because of all the nerves; it happens to the best of us! The romantic shots and interactions of just you and your groom during your photo session; catching that sparkle in your eye. The loud applause as you were introduced for the first time as husband and wife! The tears of happiness listening to your maid of honor talk about how happy she is for you, or the tears of laughter after listening to that embarrassing best man speech! Or that spontaneous dance-off you had with your niece who in fact is a better dancer then you are!

When you combine all the beautiful shots, the candid moments, the natural sounds of the day, and the ambient music, it creates a one-of-a-kind one of a kind cinematic wedding film. A wedding film that will be a priceless memory and keepsake for many years to come.

Video has the great power of bringing people right back into that special moment in time. It doesn't matter if your wedding is big or small; there will always be people who aren't able to attend your wedding, maybe because of distance or simply because you just can't invite everyone on your friend list. With technology nowadays, you have the ability to share your wedding video with everyone! Whether it be through social media, blogs or email. It allows people to feel like they were a part of your special day and witness this big milestone in your life. If you had the chance, wouldn't you love to see a video of your grandparents or parents getting married? Think about watching your wedding video on your 40th wedding anniversary and sharing it with your children or grandchildren one day. Capturing your wedding on video allows you to document history; one that will long outlive the wedding and be passed on for generations to come.

We believe the value of having a wedding video is absolutely priceless. Capturing the sounds, the movement, the emotion, the memories - life's greatest love story. And that is why wedding videos matter.

Pearl River Wedding // Tara + Jason

Tara and Jason’s classically elegant wedding at the Hilton Pearl River was just filled was amazing moments! After knowing each other most of their lives, Tara and Jason’s wedding day was cause for celebration, not only for the happy couple, but for their families as well (and you’ll see why when you read their love story)! Tara was described by her friends as driven, confident, loving and always willing to go above and beyond for others; Jason was described by Tara as having “the biggest, kindest, and genuine caring heart,” which makes it easy to see why these two fell for one another!

Jason and Tara’s first look was held on the bridge outside of the Hilton. The sweetest moment happened when Jason turned around to see his bride and he could hardly hold back his tears…it definitely made us reach for some tissues! After the first look and some photos, it was time to head inside for the ceremony. Honoring traditions, their indoor ceremony was just beautiful — the warm glow from the candles and the gorgeous white floral adorned chuppah made the room feel cozy and intimate, even though they were surrounded by many loving friends and family members!

At the reception, Tara’s father toasted the union, and told everyone that "when Jason came into Tara's life, there was a special glow that I saw and Tara told me, this is the one." And after the first dances, the Horah started and it was so much fun… everyone was on the dance floor all night celebrating!

Sometimes family really does know best! Jason's mom and Tara's aunt decided it was officially time to become family; so they made a match! So, after several conversations, Tara and Jason had their FIRST first date! Then 3 years later....a second first date occurred. After an amazing time in the city, the rest was history! Tara, in Hoboken, and Jason, in West Nyack, they made the distance work. A year later from their first date, they moved into an apartment together to make their first home!

Some time went by, and one day Jason told Tara that she could not work on October 8th…he told her that they would be doing breakfast, golf (for his birthday), a special event, then dinner. That day Jason made breakfast in bed, and Tara got ready for golf but, also packed a bag for the special event. During golf, Jason’s uncle told them he had to go help his aunt because she had a flat tire. So, Tara and Jason finished that hole and then moved on to the next. When they got to the 7th hole, a tee and ball were set up with a rose. Jason made a comment such as, "who would leave a ball teed up." Tara agreed that it was weird. She began to walk out and then realized she didn't have her tee and ball. So she went back to the cart to get it. Jason had suggesting using the one out there but Tara insisted on getting her own. Then she finally walked out to hit. Jason followed her out, where she picked up the ball. She read it several times, and it said "Marry Me 10.8.2017.” When she turned around Jason was on one knee and said, "Marry me?" Tara responded, "really?!?!"

So they weren’t golfing for his birthday after all, and his aunt did not have a flat. Jason's uncle went to set up the engagement on the 7th hole! Then, Jason told Tara there is no special event, but they had dinner reservations at 7:30 so that they could tell their parents. On the way to Tara's parent's house she tried calling every person in her immediate family at least once, but no one answered. But when they entered her parent’s house, she discovered that Jason arranged to have both immediate families at the house and had even hired a chef for a beautiful night celebrating the engagement!

Tara and Jason, we wish you both a lifetime full of love and happiness!! Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Zweig! #oncloudzweig

Bear Brook Valley Wedding // Emma + Matthew

Emma and Matt’s Bear Brook Valley wedding was just beautiful! At age 14, Emma told her best friend that she was going to marry Matt some day…and now here they are as husband and wife!

Their outdoor ceremony space complete with a gorgeous floral adorned trellis created the perfect backdrop for Emma and Matt’s commitment to one another! There were so many wonderfully emotional moments during their ceremony, like when Emma made her way down the aisle with her father and you can see the tears welling up in Matt’s eyes…so sweet! Then, when sharing their vows, Emma and Matt both used the term “you are my person” without knowing it beforehand! And we just love the moment when Matt wiped the tears from Emma’s face as she read her vows to him.

The evening was filled with dancing and fun, and the best part of the night was a surprise fireworks display Emma and Matt arranged for their guests!

Emma and Matt’s love story started over 12 years ago, meeting in high school when Emma was a freshman and Matt was a senior. From the first day she met him, and after spending some time together for few months, Emma knew that Matt was the one! But, the timing wasn’t right, and they went their separate ways. A few years went by, and the two reconnected and started dating again…and this time, the timing was perfect! A few years later, Emma and Matt went on a trip to Punta Cana. They spent a fun filled day exploring on some excursions and enjoyed dinner at a hibachi restaurant, then they walked along the beach reminiscing about their relationship. On the way back to their room at the resort, Matt walked Emma to a beautiful gazebo that was situated on a bridge over all of the pools and proposed!

Emma and Matt, we wish you both a lifetime full of love and happiness!! Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Falco! #ForeverFalco
