THE REEDS AT SHELTER HAVEN WEDDING VIDEO
Juliana and Kevin’s wedding day at Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor started out windy and overcast with a bit of rain, but just like their engagement story (read below!) it cleared up just in time for the celebration!
When we asked them what they were most excited for on their wedding day, they told us it was for their first look…and it definitely did not disappoint! It was such a special moment, and Kevin had a hard time holding back his tears as he saw his bride for the first time that day! And after the first look, we had the chance to go to the beach for some shots, which was beautiful!
The weather continued to be perfect for their outdoor ceremony on the water, and it was so sweet that even though Kevin already saw Juliana before the ceremony, he still couldn’t contain his emotions as she walked down the aisle to him! Their ceremony was extra special, too, because their mutual friend (the reason why they met!) married them!
The celebration continued into the reception, and the room was filled with so much joy celebrating the newlyweds! The weather was beautiful as the night went on, allowing them to open the reception to the outside, where guests enjoyed sharing drinks and mingling under the night sky.
THIS IS THEIR LOVE STORY
Juliana and Kevin first met in the summer of 2015 when they were out in North Wildwood with mutual friends. Kevin took Juliana’s number, and they joke that he “threw it away” because there was no contact from him. Then, in January 2017, they reconnected at another mutual friend’s graduation party. They instantly connected over their love for the Flyers, and it took off from there! They both agreed that they felt something during that first meeting, but the timing must not have been right…but it worked out in the end!
Kevin’s 25th birthday and their one year anniversary (which is on the same day!) was approaching, and they wanted to celebrate! Since it was Easter weekend, Juliana had the luxury of being off of work for Good Friday, and Kevin took the day off too so that they could travel to Cape May, NJ for the weekend. Kevin knew that Juliana loves vineyards, so he suggested that they go to Willow Creek in Cape May as part of their get away!
That night they headed to Willow Creek to explore the vineyard and do a wine tasting before their dinner reservation. It started to rain, so they went inside to do the wine tasting first in hopes that the rain would clear up. After about an hour the tasting was over and the rain stopped, so Kevin suggested that they wander around the property. The sunset was beautiful, and Kevin suggested they walk over to a patch of newly bloomed daffodils — it was there that he grabbed Juliana and told her “One year ago today you gave me the gift of being my girlfriend…” and he got down on one knee and said “…now will you give me the greatest gift of my life, will you marry me?” Of course Juliana said yes!!
